Adult Education

 

Celebrate 60 years of Ministry at St. Matthew with a 5-part Adult Education series. The series is dedicated to an exploration of St. Matthew’s ministries and our relationships with each other, with our community and with the United Church of Christ. Classes meet in the parlor at 10:50am following worship.

 

September 29 – Finding God in our Story - led by Pastor Allen and relating to his Sunday sermon

 

October 6 - Telling Our Personal Stories – led by Pastor Allen - sharing how our personal life journeys brought us to St. Matthew

 

October 13 - Telling the Story of Wheaton – led by guest speaker Mary Anne Phemister, author of “32 Wheaton Notables,” who will share milestones of Wheaton’s development

 

October 20 - Telling the Story of the UCC Denomination - led by guest speaker Rev. John Thomas, Former General Minister & President of the UCC, will discuss how the UCC has grown and changed over the years

 

October 27 - Telling the Story of St. Matthew – all members – from Charter to newer will create a timeline of events and remembrances that have forged the St. Matthew family over the years.
